Casa Callenta is er voor mensen met kanker, tijdens en na hun behandeling. Onze deur staat ook open voor hun familie, vrienden en mantelzorgers. We geven in ons aanbod bijzondere aandacht aan jongeren en mannen. We willen hen extra aanmoedigen om deel te nemen.

Social relationship coping efficacy (SRCE) is the confidence to engage in behaviors that can maintain or enhance close social relationships in the context of illness. This study focused on psychometric analyses of the SRCE scale and its role in maintaining or enhancing personal relationships, social support, and quality of life (QOL).
Method
A mixed diagnosis sample (N = 151) of cancer patients completed a variety of measures: physical debilitation, received emotional and instrumental support, SRCE, and QOL.
Given the potential benefits of self‐disclosure, the goal of this study was to learn more about how young adult cancer survivors navigate the process of disclosing their cancer history to peers.
Methods
A sample of 122 young adult cancer survivors completed a brief, online survey. Data were collected to assess how and why survivors self‐disclose to peers and how peers react.

Kankerbeleid in de toekomst: prioriteiten Kom op tegen Kanker
Minder kanker, meer genezing en een betere levenskwaliteit voor kankerpatiënten: het zijn doelstellingen die ook op beleidsniveau en structureel moeten worden gerealiseerd. In aanloop naar de verkiezingen stelde Kom op tegen Kanker een memorandum op. Daarin formuleren we beleidsaanbevelingen voor een beter kankerbeleid. We willen zoveel mogelijk van onze actiepunten op de agenda van de politieke partijen krijgen.
